A Little about me..

I'm a 21 year old and I've been playing online Poker properly since January 07' every month since this has been a winning one profit wise. I started at micro stakes of 5p-10p, 10p-20p with 20£ and turned it into 1k£ in my 1st month which obviously I was delighted with and it made me think maybe this could become more than a hobby. I was a university student for 2 years but this summer I decided to leave and give poker a go I have now been playing fulltime for 3 months and am having some good success and making some good money for someone of my age. But as I know the thing is with Poker you never know when your payday is coming but I am confident I will keep winning and have a lot of ambitions in becoming a high stake cash poker player in the future playing with the best in the world.

Around about March time I was told about a sponsorship scheme that dusk till dawn and Paul "ActionJack" Jackson were doing, in which they supplied your bankroll and you kept all your profit they made there money through the rake. Not only that but they also offered you top class mentoring from top cash pro's to improve and adapt your game. I had to have a couple of trials on the phone with a cash pro Jeff "Nenobear" Burke an aggressive and experienced cash player from badbeat.com he decided I was good enough and Dusk Till Dawn offered to bankroll me. Jeff taught me alot in my time I spent on the phone to him, tricks which have helped me improve my game and moves I still use even now at the higher stakes. I decided after a month that DTD sponsorship wasnt for me the hours they were asking me to do nearly made me ill it was pretty tough and I just wasnt cut out for it with university aswell just yet, I told Paul Jackson who said to keep going and just space the play out but the scheme was so demanding I just had to tell him I couldn't manage it, with my uni work also I just had no time for socialising or anything. Paul told me my place is still available at DTD if I ever want to give it another go but to be honest I am doing well enough by myself with my own hours and don't think I will return but you never know.

I started off on a network called cryptologic (William Hill, Sun Poker, DTD etc.) as alias Cottonbud where I mainly played 1-2£ or 2-5$ blinds where I used to do very well and make some decent cash at that level, there are many good aggressive/wild scandinavian pro's on crypto and I went on a bad run for a bit and decided to try a new site which is now the only one I currently play. I am currently 5 figures up $/£ up overall in my first 3 months which I think is a great start and will keep everything updated from big pots to interesting hands etc. from January 08 onwards.

Merry Christmas :)
